CDC Adds Physical Inactivity as a Condition for Increased Risk for COVID-19
Last week, CDC updated its information about people who are at increased risk of becoming very sick from COVID-19 due to having one or more health conditions. Physical inactivity is now indicated as a condition increasing risk of becoming severely ill from COVID-19. Based on the current evidence, a person with any of these conditions is more likely to get very sick with COVID-19. This means that a person with one or more of these conditions and who gets very sick with COVID-19 more likely to be hospitalized, need intensive care, require a ventilator to help them breathe, or die.
