Feedback Needed to Help CDC’s Emergency Risk Communication Efforts
The CDC has funded a research project that is being conducted by the RAND corporation. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of CDC’S emergency risk communication (ERC) efforts. Your participation is a key step in accomplishing this goal. The project will examine ways to measure important aspects of CDC’s approach to ERC including the creation, dissemination, appropriateness, and effectiveness of messages and materials in real-time or post-crisis. It will help CDC measure critical ERC processes (e.g., reach, speed and timeliness, scientific accuracy) to help understand how CDC can improve how it provides health protection information that members of the public can use to keep themselves and their families as safe as possible during public health emergencies.
