Dispose of Your Dried Out Christmas Tree to Avoid Fire Hazards
Christmas is over, but not the Christmas season, which means many people likely still have their Christmas trees and other holiday decorations in place. A dried-out Christmas tree can catch fire quickly and burn in a matter of seconds. The National Fire Protection Association issue reminders every year about safety precautions at Christmas time. They always remind residents to be careful with strings of lights, not to use candles to decorate trees and to turn off Christmas tree lights before going to bed. They also remind residents to dispose of their Christmas trees when dried out and not to leave a dried-out tree in the home or garage or placed against the house once it’s removed. See more tips here.
