The Biden-Harris Administration has unveiled the President's Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, revealing a $9.683 billion budget request for the CDC, an increase of $521.1 million from the FY 2023 appropriation. The funding aims to bolster the CDC's capacity to detect and respond to health threats globally, address mental health and opioid crises, and support young families.

Key initiatives include investing in interoperable data-sharing capabilities for crisis readiness, implementing programs to protect children from adverse experiences, monitoring and responding to the opioid crisis, and supporting young families through various programs, including violence prevention and maternal mortality initiatives.
