CVS And Walgreens Will Start Selling Abortion Pills This Month

CVS and Walgreens have announced plans to sell the abortion pill mifepristone at pharmacies across select states in the coming weeks, coinciding with the Supreme Court's impending oral arguments on the drug. Both pharmacy chains received certification from the FDA for dispensing the pill.

CVS will initially offer it in Massachusetts and Rhode Island before expanding to other legal states on a rolling basis. Walgreens will begin filling prescriptions in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania.
