National Public Health Week: How Public Health Has Evolved Since the Pandemic
During the first full week of April each year, the American Public Health Association (APHA) brings together communities across the US to observe National Public Health. Public health's primary concerns are preventing the spread of disease, prolonging lives, and promoting physical and mental well-being. But how has public health evolved since the pandemic? The onset of the coronavirus pandemic brought to light the need for significant overhauls in reaching out to target communities, closing equity gaps, and harnessing technological advancements.
