Toolkit: Who is Eligible for a COVID-19 Booster Shot?
Everyone 18 years and older is eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot. Some groups should get a booster, and some groups may get a booster based on assessment of their individual risks and benefits. Last week, the CDC updated its booster dose recommendations, expanding eligibility to all adults ages 18 and older. The Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) have updated their Answers to Tough Questions and booster dose toolkit to help communicators answer questions about booster dose eligibility. PHCC provides messaging guidance that helps answer questions such as: “If we need a booster dose, does that mean that the vaccines aren’t working?” and “Can I mix-and-match my COVID-19 vaccine and booster?” Visit PHCC’s toolkit to download and share social graphics to support your local vaccination outreach.
