Report: How States Are Handling Lead in School Drinking Water
A significant amount of children’s daily water intake comes from school water fountains. One key health challenge that schools across the country may face is the presence of lead in drinking water. The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) released a new report detailing the findings of a landscape analysis of testing efforts for lead in drinking water in schools across the country. The report, How States Are Handling Lead in School Drinking Water, was informed by a literature scan, online public data review, interviews with state and district administrators, and surveys.
