New York Sues Major Vape Companies for Targeting Kids, Teens

New York is suing 13 major vape companies for allegedly marketing flavored e-cigarettes to minors, fueling the youth vaping epidemic. The lawsuit targets popular brands like Puff Bar and Elf Bar, accusing them of violating state and federal laws by promoting nicotine products with enticing flavors such as “Strawberry Donut” and “Cotton Candy.”

This legal action follows previous lawsuits, including one against Juul, which resulted in a $462 million settlement. The state seeks millions in fines, a ban on flavored vapes, and public statements about vaping’s health risks.
