CDC / NPHIC Member Call Recap and Slides – August 2024

NPHIC government members are invited to meet virtually with CDC on every fourth Wednesday of the month from 4-5 p.m. EST to discuss situational updates with CDC’s Office of the Associate Director of Communication. The August meeting included current efforts in H5N1 tracking and the upcoming MMWR on a Colorado poultry farm, insights into CDC’s CERC training exercises, and a discussion with concerns about Oropouche and Dengue in Puerto Rico and South America. There were updates on mpox outbreaks across various regions, and a reminder to save the date for the 2025 NCHCMM with encouragement for members to submit ideas for program topics and speakers.
