Black Maternal Health Week is April 11 – 17

Black Maternal Health Week is recognized through Wednesday, April 17. The White House released a proclamation that underscores the pressing need to end the maternal health crisis in the U.S., especially among Black women who face significantly higher risks. Systemic racism, bias, and environmental injustices contribute to these disparities.

Heath communicators can use this toolkit from HRSA to raise awareness and take action to improve the health of Black mothers by spreading the word. Toolkit elements include social media images, banners, slides, and more.
